Laying in the Leaves

It's Saturday and what else do people do with their time but rake leaves. Well that is if you are people. It you're not people than you get to lay and play in those leaves. Here Newman relaxes as his Auntie Liz rakes in another Saturday.

Thanksgiving Dinner with Newman at the Duff's House

Sunday Thanksgiving Dinner was held at Bette Duff's house. And everyone we love and are connected to, came for dinner. There was Kate and Newman, Marilyn Doyle in from the Cod Roy Valley, Cousin Suzanne from Winnipeg and the newest Duff to be invited for Sunday dinner is Jason, who is attending MUN.

Here is a group photo of everyone. Happy Thanksgiving Gang!!!

Saying Goodnight Newman!

On Sunday October 9th, Kate and Newman came to the Duff's house for Thanksgiving Dinner. This is a picture after the supper when everyone was getting ready to go home.
Here is Newman, always the big center of attention with Patch (Patrick), Jennifer, Matthew and Cameron Duff.

Newman Meets Sparky the Fire Dog

On Saturday October 15, it was also Auntie Liz's birthday and I won't tell you how old she is in dog years, because I can't count that high. But at the end of Newman's street is the brand-spanking new Fire Department building and they held an open house. Where that lucky Newman got to meet SPARKY the fire dog. Bow-Wow!!!

It was Newman's first brush with a celebrity dog. His first brush with celebrity would be when he met Karl Wells. Can I get another Bow-Wow!

Newman Receives a Blessing at the Anglican Cathedral

On Saturday October 15, 2005, Newman attended the annual "Blessing of the Beasts" at the Anglican Cathedral in downtown St. John's. He was a very good puppy and here he is with Father John Courage. We always knew he was a "blessed beast" but now it's been formalized. Newman went to the blessing ceremony with his pal, Mae. Here they are on the floor waiting for the ceremony to be over. Like all beasts.

Dory

This is Newman's sister, Dory. She is a lovely pup. She and Newman, and their other sister, Sarah, started clicker training yesterday. Newman is noticeably bigger than Dory and Sarah - bigger paws, more of a square head, longer ears. He's his dad's son, for sure. Then there is Angus, also in the class, a Newfoundland pup who comes from Clarenville. He's 5 days older that Newman, Dory, and Sarah. I'll post a picture of all the pups in training soon.

Having a Good Laugh!

From the look of this photo you'd think that Newman or Liz said something hilarious. Something that made both of them break into peels of laughter.

Aha, what really happened was Newman was being rambunctious, so unlike him (HAHA) and just finished laying a big wet slobbery lick across his Auntie Liz's face. Now that's funny!
